Hi Guy
I think the R series are their cheap consumer models - although I have heard good things about them, I doubt the lens would be anything to write home about. As you say - no RAW

It looks like a (slightly) restyled R8 as far as I can see. Optics, 1/2.3 sensor and all else looks identical. 28-200mm equivalent!
