    LX3 snap mode?

Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a "snap" mode with the LX3 via the custom settings? (i.e. can you memorize the focusing distance or does it automatically reset at start-up?).

    Many thanks!

Sadly, LX-3 custom settings do not remember manual focus distance.

I use it at 24mm with a 21mm finder. Camera is set on
manual focus. At f4 the dof is about 3'-infinity...
it has a cool dof scale....The LCD is set to viewfinder on
    and it fires almost instantly.....
Nice street camera....I considered a GRD11 but sometimes
I like to change focal lengths....just move the zoom lever
and you get the screen back again.

When the camera goes off and then restarts, it
focuses to 2xs the near point of the dof...
Stupid and maybe a firmware will address that issue...
I have the economy at 10 minutes so it's not an issue when
    I'm working......

I would be very happy if this gets fixed by firmware update.

For now, manually setting the focus distance is not too painful (thanks to the dof scale).

The zoom might be more painful for some. I mostly use 24mm so I don't feel too much pain there.
