    HI Klaus
i'm not sure how much the GRD is to blame . . . but they're great shots.

    Thanx for your replies...
Normaly i do not do not much PP. Only 2 - 5 Minutes max on each photo. A little layers and curves and that familiar stuff. Sizing, cropping and framing...thats all

See some more why i love that little gem..

Man, you've got some serious detail going on on these photos!
    Are some of them HDR?

    Hi Rawfa,

sorry no. No pic is done with HDR tech. Way too complicated for my fast way to tweak the pics.

    Re: My lovely GRD

I've been living in Barcelona for 5 years and each time I pass by the Sagrada Familia or Parque Guell ("Gaudi Park") I'm amazed by what a genious this guys was.
The more I look into the GRD photos the more amazed I am. I'm trying to sell my E410 to get a GRD or a DP1 instead.

Trust me, i am a Olympus user as well. Keep your Oly and get a a wide angle lens. I love my GRD and i have it always with me, but i have great fun with my E-3 as well...
This was done with my Oly...its different! And it is not a question of your cam ! It is how you look into this world.

    Re: My lovely GRD

Maybe if Olympus came up with a cheap 28mm pancake lens for the e410 I could reconsider. But they've already stated that micro four thirds is their new thing now. So, there's that to look forward to.

Great shots! My GRD2 has been sitting idle since getting the DP1 and G1. I guess I should get it out and start shooting with it again. I had forgotten how nice that little Ricoh is. Thanks for the reminder.

I also love your frames. Distinctive but not so overpowering as to distract from the pictures themselves. Could you share some info on how you make the frames?

Yes naturally. The frame is made through an action in photoshop.

How is that Oly lens attached to the GRD body? Is the GRD modified for an Oly lens, or is the lens modified to fit a Ricoh body?

I am aware of the possibility to mount a lens to that el cheapo plastic adapter that Ricoh sells, but that adapter is not in you pic.

Its a fake. No connection between GRD and Oly lens. It is only a wish.
A digital version of an PenF with Olyadapter for FT lenses. Perhaps my wish come true with the new Oly m4/3 system....

I love that coffee shop picture! I assume that was also taken with the GRD?

All these wonderful GRD shots have inspired me to keep my GRD2 in my pocket when I go out. I have been trying to get more use out of the DP1 (which I really love), but the GRD is just so fast and easy to use, and I am constantly surprised and pleased with the quality of the images it takes. Thanks for posting, and thanks again for the tip on the frame actions.

    Re: My lovely GRD

I think, the differnce is my in camera setting.
For High ISO shots set your GRD to "high contrast and low color depth"
The difference is extreme !! I put this setting to Mysetting2 so i can easily switch the setting with the back wheel. Thats nearly all.

Next is a little PP. Just a little contrast, saturation and unsharp masking.
The setting i prefer for unsharp mask is 150 to 250 /0.8/2 depends on the picture
    Thats it..
Thats why i realy love my little GRD and will never ever give it away...

If you don't stop posting these beautiful GRD pix I'm going to cry. A few weeks ago I accidentally killed my GRD, been in mourning ever since. It is supposedly being sent back to Ricoh to attempt reanimation, in the meantime waiting on delivery of a GX200 to hold me over. I'm going to cry now.
