Howard, this is what photography is about for me. I do not care who shot it, with which camera or lens, this is pure magic. Thanks for sharing.

    Re: LX3 images.

    Hello All,

Thank you Osman. I should have said sooner how much I have been enjoying some of your recent pictures, especially those processed with a very faint softish glow to them.

Howard I had not realised that one could get such good pics of human beings with the LX3

Here are a couple of interesting works of art from an exhibition inside Gloucester Cathedral. And yes the first one really IS called 'Waiting for Godot'.
Tho' I prefer to call it 'Forgive me, for I have over-processed another picture'

    Cheers,

    Gandolfi.

    .....and some recumbent figures.....

I was shooting with shutter speeds of between 1/3 and 1/20 inside the Cathedral and had about 50% success rate. I think the image stabilisation is very efficient.

    Cheers,

    Gandolfi.

Even though I bought an LX5, I can't bring myself to part with the LX3. It's still one of my favorite cameras. Nice to see it still has a following.

Great shot. I love the fact that you have Prada on the left, Louis Vuitton in the middle, and McDonalds on the right. What a combination!

Newcomer to the LX3 thread...have been participating in the Pentax K-5 thread. Picked up an LX3 as a carry round while running errands...and have been amazed by it's ability to render fine detail. First two pics are storage tank lids at the local gas station.

    Hello All,

Great to know people are still buying the LX3. Keep on posting.

Here a couple from last year. These shot in dynamic b/w mode and played with in iPhoto. I love the lithograph/engraving/illustration feeling in these

    Cheers,

    Re: LX3 images.

    Hello All,

Hilton, that's a fine looking lump of metal! I had to look up Damascus Steel on Wikipedia, where there is a fine photograph of a sword maker in Damascus, Syria in about 1900. I would guess Signor Gianferrari's forge/workshop looks slightly different

Here a few pics down by the riverside in Bath. Removed the colour and vintage-toned using the simplicity of iPhoto.

    Cheers,

    Gandolfi.

    Hello All,

This is the Midsomer Norton & Radstock Silver Band playing in dappled sunlight on the village green at Priston, SW of Bath, on the May Day holiday.

I know they are playing The Monkees hit 'Daydream Believer' because I can zoom in on the sheet music in the original pic and read it!!

Fiddled in Elements6 to give a 'gouache on board/ oil on canvas' feeling

    Cheers,

    Hello All,

Hilton, it was good to hear the tree snake was returned to its habitat, and I also enjoyed the big horns and beard of the old goat. Do you have any elephants?

Here are some images from an air show last Sunday.

1st is Red Arrows display team Hawk aircraft in formation. Cropped.

2nd is Red Arrows showing off again. Uncropped.

3rd is an iconic silhouette well known to all english schollboys over 65 years of age!

All with mighty LX3 at full zoom

    All fidgeting done with iPhoto!

    Cheers,

    Gandolfi.

    Hello All,

Went to the seaside today and as I was idling at the railings a gentleman climbed over and did a quick backflip onto the sand.

Amazingly the LX3 turned and shot in one fluid motion and this was the result. Uncropped.

    Cheers,

    Gandolfi.
