    Infrared with the GX100?

    Hi gang,

I'll be testing a GX100 next week and since I've always been fascinated by IR photography I was thinking about maybe getting a HA-2 and a 46mm Hoya R72 (I would need a 43-46 step up filter). I saw some very cool results. Did anyone ever try this?

Just a suggestion, you might want to think of a step up ring to 52mm, like in that Flickr link. 52mm filters are very common.

I read somewhere that Hoya (Tokina / Kenko) had discontinued some of the filters used for IR photography.

ETA: I just looked and both the R72 and RM90 are still listed on THK's website.

You're absolutely right. If I end up not liking the GX100 I want to be able to still use the IR filter on other future compacts.
