Lens Hood option for D-Lux 4?

I'm curious if anyone has figured out a way to get a square lens hood mounted on the front end of the D-Lux 4. I know there is a removable front ring that has a thread lock on it. I would think there has to be a way to get SOMETHING on there.

Has anyone figured out a working example?

Found this one, but haven´t tried it.

It´s not square, but petal shaped. Since the DL4 lens is longest at its wide setting, chances are that such a hood would work well.

Still, the DL4 itself is a compact, pocketable camera. Personally, I hesitate to transform it into a biggie; if I had to use a bag, I´d rather use my Digilux 2....

Duct tape and cardboard. Just because we've gone 'digital' doesn't excuse us from our obligation to do what is needed to get the picture we want -- and there ain't nothin' that can't be made, fixed, or improved with tie-wraps, bungy cords, and/or duct tape.
