Ricoh's web page and registration for the GR-DII

I'm frustrated! :angry:

While charging the battery I went to register the GR-DII at the website on the card in the box. (http://www.ricoh-us.com)

All I can fine in the products to register are copiers and printers. Went to the English site in Japan and only found a link for European registration.

Since there's no paper to mail in, where have you all been registering these little jewels?

I had the same problem when trying to register my GRD so I emailed them about it and this is their answer:


Thank you for contacting Ricoh Japan,

Regarding the online registration;
There is no registration site for the US market. I am afraid that a package
you have may contain the registration guide, however, you do not have to
register for getting a service.

If you want to have your camera service in the future, please visit the
following site to contact the local service.

Tony from POPFLASH
had informed me when I bought my GR2 there was no registering process
and there would be NO problem in servicing the camera / Ricoh has Reliable
Customer Service

I noticed you can use the European registration page and change the country to US. It might only result in mailings, but that could be okay.
