It looks good but from the text I could not tell if those two B&W shots were made with an SD14 or DP-1. I thought the DP-1 only went up to like ISO 800 or 1600

It is correct that the DP1 is limited to ISO 800. See the explanation here on how he does it http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1027&message=27024706.

Those two b&w shots are made with the DP-1.

Ouch, this is seriously lovely quality. It's the possibility of somewhat shallower DOF, when needed/wanted, that especially appeals to me.

Um, if I am not mistaken, per the link Wouter posted the 3200 shots were not really made with the DP-1

Affirmative Lili. Those photos were made with the Sigma SD14, but give an impression of the DP1 might be capable of. Both cameras share the same sensor. Carl Rytterfalk received a Sigma DP1 from Sigma. He posted new images on his site http://www.rytterfalk.com/2008/03/04/sigma-dp1-iso400-good-mixed-light/.
