back dial button failure

I'm finding the back dial button fails , if I have my thumb on it and move it , but not actually dialing , so , without clicking , data changes very fast up an down .

Anybody had this problem ?

Yep, common in a lot of Sony dslrs. Blow some air in there and give the wheel a good spin, and it should be ok. Interestingly, sometimes removing the battery helps mine.
