Sony 50/1.4 discontinued

My version of this lens was made in Japan, but only chinese lenses were available recently. Hopefully we'll get a worthy replacement, G or ZA.

That is from a rumour site. I have seen the CZ 24-70mm marked as 'discontinued' on the Sony Canada website so...

I've been happy with my Sony 50/1.4 (made in Japan) with no complaints whatsoever so far, and I wouldn't be getting in line for some high priced alternative to it.

I had a Chinese version, and it was a good performer. Granted, it needed a lot of AF adjustment on my A900.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. The AF adjustment is pretty extreme using my A850 with this lens.

Yeah, the 50mm seemed to have a bit of a renaissance with Alpha users once the A900 came out with AF adjustment.
