Sony A-55 firmware update version 2

Is anyone having trouble installing this? I can't get the updating software to recognize the camera

    Any help appreciated

    Keith, did you select:
Menu --> Setup --> USB Connection --> Mass Storage?

I had a bit of a fiddle but got it done....not very impressed with the new functions, to be quite frank. I would definitely have appreciated the "focus peaking" feature, which of course did not appear.
A900 with a few lenses, flashes etc.

Thanks everyone - I eventually got it done.

I moved into my Windows partition on my Mac and did it there. However, I don't think this was the problem. I think my battery was almost shot when I thought it was fully charged - I believe the updater won't let you go if you don't have enough juice. I did charge it before I went into Windows.

Yes - wouldn't that "peaking" have been nice?

    Keith
