    Re: Fun with NEX-7

Had some time off and the Spring is upon us so I've been out shooting for the first time in a while. Usual suspects...

    The Great Escape

    Jazz Hands...

Fun with bubbles. Could have used a bit more depth of field because Offspring No.1 is a bit out of focus but I love the photo anyway.

@ Taylor, good picks on the unseen common around us!

@ Ben, lovely, kids are thankfull subject.

@ Lee, PP in the style of an old postcard but with a composition you would never see on those postcards.

The toning part, I describe here: Photoshop Fill Layer

The conversion part, is to shoot in RAW and convert to 16-bit PSD in ACR. Then save PSD to JPG for showing on the web.

A couple with the 21 Super-Elmar. The first is an HDR, hence JPG, hence not Cornerfixed. (the bee shot is a MP100 ZF).

    Re: Fun with NEX-7

Thanks - it was harder than I expected, given that these guys (there were three or four of them) were barely moving at all. It was late in the day so I was using a large aperture, and just holding the camera steady enough to keep the DOF on the front of the bee was hard. This one also needed a fair amount of PP, fill light essentially as it was underexposed. Though it got a bit washed out in the process. The colors in yours are great!

A couple with the Elmarit-M 28/2.8 ASPH and the Nex-7. My cornerfix-process isn't quite what it should be yet, there's still some cast. I just got the LR "DNG Flat Field" plugin, and it's interesting but I'm not sure about it either.

Thanks philber! I was thinking after I got back that I need to work on my photo-stitching skills! Doing a stitch of an entire crane shot with the 180 would have been pretty awesome. Though, the angles were limited as I was standing by the side of a road shooting over a fence on that last one :-)
