I'm new here - a hobbyist photographer since my daughter was born in 1974. Now that I'm retired I've decided to see if I could get better at this. My new NEX-7 with the Zeiss 24/1.8 and a Leica Tele-Elmarit 20/2.8 are getting me off my butt and out and around to learn what it can do.

Here are a couple of my first tries.

Nex-7 is a real joy to use for long exposures. Works like charm, take exposures as long as you please as long as you activate long exposure noise reduction, otherwise you will find quite a few hot pixels...

I love the CV 12, and I will be very happy to see what it can do on the NEX-7. I have not seen any smearing on Jim's 12/5.6 images, either—great.
