Hakkalo, nice soft-glow effect... is this entirely from the Dallmeyer lens, or is there some PP in there too?

Yes,its entirely from the lens without PP

Achro or Achromatic is soft focus lens construction.

Interesting... and would you say that this effect is exaggerated, in any way, by using the lens on modern equipment, or would it have looked the same on contemporary equipment?

Old lenses likes old classic cars .
Of course vintage lens is not as good as modern lens, yet its has its own character. Different lens has different taste ,but not everyone's cuppa tea.
I enjoy DIY modify old lenses to be used on modern cameras ,make them alive in digital age.

You're certainly getting some good results, and you seem to have an endless supply of vintage lenses!

I'm intrigued as to how you've managed to find so many? Did you buy a whole collection of them at once, or do you just accumulate them one-at-a-time?

I don't like them broken I actually have another one broken, without the front glass.

If you mean bokeh. I think it is quiet funny and with the background at longer distances it is even quiet beautifull.

Oh my! This tablet has a bad habit of replacing unknown words. I did mean bokeh. The near background in your example seems a bit busy to me but I would like to see more.

A thread "Bokeh from Broken Lenses" might produce some really interesting results.

    Re: NEX-7 with old lenses

A year ago or so I made one of my favourite streetsnaps with this lens. I love this background, in this case at longer distances a more quiet one, but still with a weird abstraction.
It is with the wrong camera (with Sony sensor) but we are talking about the lens now.
Not tack sharp in focus but it was a split second of course.

    This is from yesterday.

I like the bokeh in the first of the last two but it is a bit strange. If I recall correctly your Summitar is a vintage collapsible.

Hakkalo, the photo (several above) of the gentleman bicyclist under the bridge is one of the best photographs I have seen in a very long time. It exhibits a timeless, dreamy quality and would be at home next to the worlds great oil paintings in the Louvre. Well done.
