Has anyone been able to register and download the apps for the NEX-5R or the NEX-6?

Sony.nl helped me with the right links. Download/install via the camera was easy (if you one can deal with the virtual keyboard) and fast.
Clearly the retouching was designed for the high contrast E mount lenses.
With a pen F 42/1.2 (@f/1.2), the limitations become obvious quickly. These also get shot as only jpegs. Manual focus assist function gets disabled while using this feature. :thumbdown:

Nikon and others have this feature as a camera built in. I don't know why Sony would make me go through all the trouble to install it.
I am not going to "buy" any of the apps. I will wait for promotions when they will be free.
I have not tested the direct uploads and the "remote" firing of the camera yet.
