Last weekends lunar eclipse. This is the only time you can photograph a moon in front of a star field--the moon is normally too bright.

This one was shot in the Placitas Mountains in pure darkness, car was lit with a simple led flashlight. The orange color is light contamination coming from the nearby village of Placitas in New Mexico.

Took the RX1R out for a walk at Buttermilk Falls (low autumn flow).





Edit: Just noticed that there is a dead brown trout lying on the stream bottom just to the right of the reflection in the last shot above. There are both lake run brown trout and landlocked salmon spawning in the tributary streams right now.

Brought my RX1R on a business trip and had a stay over in New England so decided to take advantage of the last of the fall foliage. Past peak but still pretty.
