Re: Fun with the Sony A7 and A7r series
Size and weight is critical to me like your good self, otherwise I just know I won't lug it around with me, it will just end up being left at home.
If I buy the 18mm Zeiss FE first, I think I will always be hankering for the 21mm Zeiss FE, yet if I buy the 21mm first I will be cursing the size and the extra weight.
I can envisage myself ending up buying them both and then just wishing I had bought the WATE in the first place ...But if I just buy the WATE then I will end up with nobody liking me liking me, which is what has happend to Dave with Bart and Douglas! :facesmack: (my bank manager won't be too happy either).
What a turmoil I am in and how pathetic I have become, I blame all the good friendly helpful folk here at GetDPI.
Cheers Barry.
Werner many thanks again for all of your good advice, most appreciated as usual.Barry, my consideration for the 18 was mainly size.
The 21 is very big and heavy it might be the best of the Distagons. As a single lens that would not have bothered me but when i take, as i often do, 3 lenses (18, 55 and 24-70 or even the 70/200)in my smallish bag to walk around the 21 would have been impossible as a WA. In prints, i print A2 on an Epson 3800, the shots with the 18 look perfect.
Would have liked the WATE, but the costs.....
