Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Three more shots this evening using A7RII and Zeiss Otus 55 1.4. Wish I'd had my Batis 85 today....longer lens with auto focus would have helped here with these friendly Mountain Goats at the base of Quandary Mountain!! Batis supposed to arrive Monday tho......Eleanor

Here is one from this morning.
I enjoy exploring our front courtyard with a macro lens, looking for interesting patterns in the plants and flowers.

I also did some comparing between a Canon 100mm F2.8 L macro on A7RII via Metabones adapter. Fast focus BTW.
And, the Batis 85 F1.8 with a 10mm extension tube.

Here is the rest of the gallery for your enjoyment.

Well went out to photograph the moon tonight but heavy cloud cover to the east in central Colorado. Looking west after sunset was lovely however. A7RII with Zeiss 100 f2. Eleanor

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

It took four tries but I got the image I saw. :)

Actually this is a composite of four images. Three are the background water and sky. Did a three image pano with 150-600 Tamron they are horizontal composited into a vertical. They were shot at 150mm F8.

The moon was shot at 600mm F8. The particular image was shot about 2 hours after the three for the background.

The clouds were traversing the sky and the moon was coming in and out.

Probably should soften up the moon image to make it more realistic.

Apparently the A7RII isn't ideal for safari and wildlife ...

Giraffe Dawn - Kapama Game Reserve, Kruger NP, South Africa
(A7RII, Tamron 150-600 @ 550mm, LA-EA4, ISO 6400, 1/250s f/13)
