Best ISO for A7r & Landscapes?

Any opinions/thoughts on 50 or 100 ISO for landscape photography for the best quality?
    Thanks,

Never tried ISO 50 but I believe your just pulling the file one stop so I don't see it as a advantage unless your trying to slow water down or something of that nature.

Is it pushing or pulling. Geez too early in the morning. LOL

Since "best quality" is influenced by a whole host of factors I'll boil it down to the factor you inquire about.

Dynamic range and color sensitivity of the camera max out at 100 ISO, with no real difference reported for 50 ISO.

So in my mind, if you're shooting on a tripod, it shouldn't matter. If you're not, I'd say go with ISO 100.

Yea they tune them for ISO 100 as the Base so outside of gaining a stop to slow the shutter I see no advantage.

Where's the love for ISO 50? Doesn't anyone remember Velvia?

I agree with the above. I've used ISO 50 a couple of times, both because I wanted motion blur and didn't have enough ND filter. I ended up having to to move LR's clarity slider in the negative direction and open up the shadows a bit more extensively than I wished.

I use ISO 50 sometimes too, before in the past i was always using ISO 50 because i thought this is the clearest or cleanest one to go with, but after a while i figured out that it doesn't show any much better quality or clarity or clean over ISO 50, so the only time i use ISO 50 now is when i need the longest shutter speed using ND filters.

We got into the ISO 50 habit with the a77 and a99, both of these have decent gains at ISO 50 over 100 (Sony's way of giving some back in exchange for the 'theft' by the SLT); and the RX1 with its max s/speed of 1/2000s. But ISO 100 it is for the a7r, where possible.
