    Canon FDs on the A99?

    Hi guys,

I have 3 Canon FDs that I really enjoy using on my A7 (24-40mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8). I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried using them on the A99. Ive found 1 or 2 adapters on ebay but I could not find anyone using Canon FDs on the A99.

That's probably because the flange distance for the Canon FD is 42mm while the Sony A/Minolta is 44.5mm. This means that you won't be able to get infinity focus. Typically adapters aren't made for those pairings.
