Live View on an external device for A7 cameras

I've always wanted to try using a really large screen (tablet or monitor) to manually focus in the studio. Is this currently possible for the A7 cameras? Either wired or wireless would be fine. I understand that phones can be used to select focus point and trigger an exposure but wasn't sure if live view was also possible.

    Thanks,
    John

So you've been able to use live view on a phone or tablet yourself?

Yes, since the NEX-6. This is very "old" news for the E mount users.

(Check the "Menu" in your camera!)

I often use a 7-inch Lilliput HD monitor with mine. Works great.

That looks neat. Is the cable part of the A7 kit or was that part of your monitor package?

Had to buy the cable separately. The monitor takes a standard HDMI input, and the Sony has a micro-HDMI. Here's the one I use.
