    New VC 15mm Mk III

I was hunting down the old Mk I model but I see there is a newer version of the VC 15mm II which reputes to fix corners.
I might hold off now till this is available. So I could end up with the Mk III 15mm on the A7 Mk II. So many Marks.

Any word on the weight of the type iii? Early image samples seem quite promising for use on the a7 series. I'm hoping it comes in a bit lighter than the 21 ultron (another great lens).

This ebay listing puts it at 247g, a good bit less than the 412g of the 21mm Ultron

Excellent. I have to admit it's starting to tempt me. I never seem to shoot these ultrawides wide open anyway, so the speed really isn't an issue.

I am definitely interested in this lens for wide work on my A7 II.

It looks like it was released in Japan today:

    Size is similar to FE 35mm, below CV 15 v1, FE35, CV15 v3 and CV21 Ultron:

Re: New VC 15mm Mk III

I received ver III today. It is snowing in NY, so this shot was thru the double glass w/ A7R... Corners look good and I didn't see any major color shifting. It still has heavy vignetting to be corrected, since it is still a small lens. LR profile overcorrects it, so I did it manual vignetting correction. I need to check it more in better conditions...
