When an extended period of high winds comes off the ocean here, it puts ripples in the sand. I spent the afternoon shooting in B&W with an A7RII and 55mm f1.8 Zeiss lens. Thanks for looking

A truly classic Santa Fe image!

The new sensor seems to record subtler upper-midrange and highlight tones. I find my BW conversions are gentler in the highlights (without as much PS work) than my Monochrom files. Have others noticed this?

That's possible. But I wonder if it is related to the ability to change color temperature and selective color manipulation.

By moving red, orange and yellow independently I can bring out detail in the adobe that I doubt I could do with the Monochrom. Sad, because I love using that camera so much...
