Pieter,....does that Minolta 16mm 2.8 perform better (on Sony APS) than the E16mm...?
Unfortunately I have no experience with the E16/2.8 (with the fish-eye converter I presume) so really can't tell.

But I do know the Minolta (and identical Sony) 16/2.8 Fish-Eye really needs full frame to shine, on APS-C. I find it a bit "meh" and there it looks more like a bad/distorted wide angle vs. a true fish-eye shot since most of the nice effect of this lens goes on around the borders of the (full) frame.

For a proper fish-eye effect on APS-C I'd recommend a 8mm Rokinon, never used it but I saw many good examples from people who have.

A couple of grab-shots from Pike Place while passing through earlier this week. It's probably evident I was sailing by the musicians as I got this image but I like that the look recalls a Barnack with Elmar f3.5 more than RX1R II

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! Of course for me the greatest pleasure is having family visit. Here is my son relaxing with the guitar yesterday.
