A ruin (or foundation) of a former "castle" left in the woods near to where I live. The castle was demolished to use the stones that were used to build it were worth more (and sold) then the building itself.

Once upon a time, every schoolboy's dream job!
Nice shot and I agree.

I even fullfilled my schoolboys dream job as a volunteer fireman and engineer at a museum steam train in the eastern part of the Netherlands (Between Haaksbergen and Boekelo).
I worked there from ~1970 until 1992, unfortunately we moved abroad then so this occupation had to stop.

Here's a photo of myself driving back a short train from Boekelo to Haaksbergen somewhere in the early 80's (Sorry, not Sony ;) )

'All the world's a playground,
And all us little people merely players...'

(shown before, but sometimes I like to process things a little more philosophically!)

Two days ago all of our snowpack had melted away. Now it is 8 degrees F and we have a new snowpack building up. Tracks in snow were left by deer that came last night and ate the buds off our rhododendron bushes. Sony A6000M +TechArt AF adapter + Contax G 28/2.8 Biogon + OptoSigma SLB-50-1500PM PCX lens. Internal lens spacer washers removed to allow infinity focus with the PCX filter on lens.

Superb tonality! [not always achieved here!]

Though I would have cropped out the fence— ;)

Many parts of the US are covered in snow drifts, but in Florida we only have drifts.
