Just got my notice from Sony Store that they're preparing to ship. I have overnight shipping so I should have it by Friday :-)

Found a couple shops in the US that have them with no tax, I may pick one up tomorrow

Re: A7RII delivery dates and last minute availability

Really odd: my S.O.S. order status changed to 'shipping', despite their email stating delivery postponed till 13/14 August.
    But don't worry I won't hold my breath ...

Awesome. Mine is coming from Indiana distribution center I guess from Amazon. It's almost here in Phoenix.

Now you all stay away from my Ups plane. Lol

FWIW, a cursory search reveals "in stock" in a few shops in the Netherlands (that includes one just around the corner from my house!). I need my cash for my travels.....

Re: A7RII delivery dates and last minute availability

Sandy just checked her credit card and it shows a charge pending from B&H. Now all we're waiting for is the tracking (we ordered it as soon as B&H opened their ordering in June while we were in the Palouse). Next day delivery so she should have it tomorrow. Both of us now have a new camera to work with next week in Sedona; Sandy with her A7rII and my XF. Happy days.....

Re: A7RII delivery dates and last minute availability

I ordered with Adorama in the first minute of availability 6/17/2015. Status check with online chat:
"They are scheduled to ship by Sony today, but it may take a couple of weeks to get them in
Adorama will notify you as soon as it is ready to ship to you."

Fortunately I placed a second order with B&H.

The A7RII arrived on schedule this morning. Just unpacked and set up, charging new batteries (2), put in sd card, and attached the 35 FE.

B&H shipped UPS this am, verified online, via email and UPS directly. Let's now see what it can, and cannot, do.

Thank you Carl. These pictures are set on private however. I assume the FE 35 you have is the 1.4.

Sorry, I forgot about that setting - changed to public. No, lens was my old Sony Zeiss FE f/2.8 Sonnar.

UPDATE: Adorama order is on it's way, despite what was told me. Glad this worked out, I again like both Adorama and B&H equally. Still waiting for the 85mm Batis, though.

THB 109,990, 114,990 with the vertical grip, both prices including 7% VAT.

In USD, that would be roughly 3,140 and 3,280, in EUR 2,860 and 2,990.

I get excited every time I push the shutter button, Bart, and every time I see a cute girl. Last time I checked, my age was past 50. At that age, that's about as much excitement as my body can take

Picked up mine from a Kiala access point yesterday (6th).
At home attached the grip, stuck on the screen-protector and shoved in two fully loaded batteries. Hurray !
Oh - for starters: mounted an old Zuiko 55/1.2

Btw - I was quite surprised how heavy the body feels and how lovely that shutter sounds ...

    All the best.

Oh great, we got Sandy's camera late yesterday and after setting it up I am now thinking I just might upgrade my 7r IR sometime later this year.

Shutter seems faster and is a lot more quite than the 7r; it also "feels" better in the hand with some slight improvements in the dial system that seems to work better as well. Nice touch was getting 2-batteries with charger.

No cave in at all Lou. I had planned to get the A7RII fairly early.
Unfortunately I switched my June order around and lost my place in the queue.
But waiting for 3 weeks ain't too bad.

For my M9 I had to wait for 3 months and for my NEX-7 about 5 months IIRC. :-(
So, back then I got a NEX-5N and viewfinder to tie me over until the NEX-7 arrived.
In hindsight that was a good move though as I prefer the NEX-5N over the NEX-7.
BTW the NEX-5N matches almost exactly the sensor resolution of the A7R and D800E. :-)
Of course it has a narrower Field of View and gets along fairly well with my Leica M lenses wheres the NEX-7 doesn't similarly.
    With best regards, K-H.

Actually we have 2 or 3 members looking to buy. If you are in contact with a dealer and they have stock please post that info. I know Mike and John are looking.
