Problem Installing Play Memories Camera App

Hello all,
I feel like a newbie on this one but I am trying to figure out how to download and install the Play Memories Camera App on my mac and I am having some problems. I tried to do this over my wifi network first with no luck. I then downloaded the app via my computer but after doing that I can't find the program. I have done this several times with the same results. I know I downloaded the program to my hard drive but it is not showing up in my apps. I am wanting to install the Touchless Shutter App for starters. Any tips/ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Same here. Downloaded it, installed it, and can't find it. Strange!

Zlatko, most frustrating! At least I am not alone in this. I did read on DPreview that if you install the Touchless Shutter app, that it cancels out some (maybe all?) of your camera settings. If this is true, I wouldn't want it anyway.

Mmm, perhaps I don't understand what you're trying to do.
The PM Camera App is supposed to be installed and run on your camera, right ?

There is a notification on the Sony site; If you cannot download the camera application successfully

Damn it - same issue here ...
The application package is, when downloaded, in your download folder (MAC).
Install it, pretty straight forward I'd say.
However, it's actually a plug-in for your browser, so not an App !
More of a problem is when connecting your camera by means of that mini-usb cable to make your Mac recognise your camera.
You may have to fiddle a bit with the usb settings.
For me it works with this: USB Connection MTP

As I didn't install any beta apps, I suppose I'm still fine.
Anyway, didn't notice any difference (yet).
