    A7R & A7RII common accessories?

I have an A7R and yesterday ordered an A7RII from B&H (delivery today)....yes, they are back in stock at B&H. The batteries are the same? Will my electronic cable release fit the A7RII?. I have a Really Right Stuff quick release plate, I assume it will not fit the A7RII?
I really like the small form factor of the A7R; my kit is very small and light: A7R, 35mm f2.8 Zeiss, 55mm f1.8 Zeiss, 16~35mm Zeiss, and LAEA4 adapter and 90mm f2.8 A mount Tamron Macro. All fits is a small bag. The only reason for my upgrading is the IBIS, at 78 years of age, the image stabilization sold me, as I rarely use a tripod (but I often use a monopod). Knowing I can use a bunch of my A mount Zeiss and Minolta lenses with stabilization is a big deal for me.
Thanks to all of you for the reviews, etc, and samples.

Cable release and batteries are the same. The body is a different shape, so Quick release plate, no go.

I will be selling my A7R, with RRS plate, and 3rd party external charger. 78 yr old Amateur, retired Mechanical Engineer, bought camera new, light use.
