One day I’d like to see your “behind the scenes” image, K-H ...

Well Bart, wearing a hat, being quiet - including no camera noise, no rush movements on my part, and patience, patience, patience.  :facesmack:
When Hummer in field of view, focus on it, and trigger A9 electronic shutter. Get lucky!!!

IMBY: 2 Mule Deer

Yesterday afternoon 2 Mule Deer visited our backyard.
They easily can jump our 5 foot high fence or gate.
We first saw them near the water dishes we set out for the birds.

Trip Down Memory Lane 1

The Sony A7r, i.e. ILCE-7R was announced in October 2013 with availability that December.
https://www.dpreview.com/articles/9...-full-frame-mirrorless-ilc-cameras-a7-and-a7r
Indeed I got mine in early December 2013.

My reason for the A7r was so that I finally could shoot my Leica R lenses adapted on a Full Frame FF camera. Of course I also wanted to use my Leica M lenses on it.

The Sony Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 35mm F2. 8 ZA was also announced in October 2013 with availability that same month. I got my copy of that lens in December 2013, just a few days after my A7r had arrived.

One of the very first shots was with the Leica-M WATE 16-18-21/4.

Sony ILCE-7R + Leica-M WATE 16-8-21/4 @ 16mm, f/?, 1/125 s, ISO 100, Date Taken 2013-12-05 16:18:21.

Now a couple of early shots with the Leica-R 280f4.0 APO lens.

Sony ILCE-7R + Leica-R 280f4.0 APO @ 280mm, f/5.6?, 1/60 s, ISO 100, Date Taken 2013-12-17 17:10:41.

Sony ILCE-7R + Leica-R 280f4.0 APO @ 280mm, f/5.6?, 1/10 s, ISO 100, Date Taken 2013-12-17 17:16:57.

I processed these images with Capture One 20 Pro to easily reveal the snow on the ground.

Now a couple images with the Sony Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 35 mm F2.8 ZA .

Sony ILCE-7R + Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 35 mm F2.8 ZA (SEL35F28Z) @
35 mm, f/11, 1/90 s, ISO 100, Date Taken 2013-12-12 15:43:19.

Sony ILCE-7R + Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 35 mm F2.8 ZA (SEL35F28Z) @
35 mm, f/13, 1/90 s, ISO 100, Date Taken 2013-12-12 15:39:08.

Of course then it was discovered that not all Leica M lenses worked well with the A7r and for certain tele lenses and exposure times the A7r could exhibit shutter shock. For example documented in this thread. :facesmack:
