a7rII video project - mic recommendations

I don't do video but have offered to help a couple friends put together a simple interview style thing for a project they're working on. Think I can figure out how to shoot some decent video but also need to record the audio. The subjects will be roughly 8-10 from the camera. This will be done indoors so no wind noise to contend with. Any recommendations for a mic(s) for this?

For a single person to be interviewed, a Lav mic works well. A small shotgun is good for two or three in front of the camera.

Rode, Sony and Sennheiser are all good brands.

Thanks for the response, Michael. Think I'm gonna rent a Rode VideoMic Pro and see how that works out.
