SIGMA 35mm ART 1.4 lens on Sony?

Is there anybody here who is using Sigma Art lenses on a Sony a7r III as native lens without adapter?

Is focusing fast and accurate? How about low light? All focusing modes (eye tracking, etc.) work on the Sony?

Thanks!

the only problem I see with these wonderful lenses are the sizes, even bigger than the combo mc11 adapter and a canon mount sigma lens. so they built the mc 11 into the lens. my guess is the next version of these lenses will be true fe mount lenses

I had the adapted version in 2014-Spring 2015 prior to owning the Sony Zeiss 35/1.4 and the autofocus was reasonably fast even back then on generation 1 bodies. There’s a lot of demonstrations and reviews on YouTube that show real time performance and on generation 2 bodies the speed was slightly behind but still useable. I see no reason the native version won’t meet or exceed the adapted combo personally. The Sigma Art series is a great value and entry point into quality lenses for the money... that being said I would trade my Sony Zeiss 35/1.4 for one as its my second favorite 35mm lense ever (behind the Leica 35mm Summicron V5).
