recommended settings for a7ii for low saturation / film type look

I just got an a7ii. I've scoured various websites for recommended settings, but am actually looking for not the usual photo look. I'm looking for a less saturated look, more film like. I'm using a 35mm pre-asph lux, and Canon 50mm 1.4 ltm lens. Am trying to get my digital images to look like images from my M4 film camera.

Thanks for any tips!

My recommendation is to shoot RAW and post-process to create a film-like tone curve. Try Capture One for Sony, which is free and has all the tools you need. There are no shortage of guides you can google showing how to use the various controls to create different film looks.

Good question. I would try the "creative styles" function, chose a mode like "portrait" or "neutral" and adjust saturation down.

What film emulsion are you attempting to emulate and if your editing skills aren’t extremely strong there are film like presets that you can buy... or you can just make your own as suggested.
