A few from yesterday. Love the Loxias.

Re: Fun With Sony _____

The most wildflowers I've ever seen in one place!

I don't usually post pictures that are 'just scenery,' but I couldn't resist. We've had a break in the CA drought, and many fields are looking like this again.

Point Reyes National Seashore, between the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay, CA.

Batis 85mm in the house!

First quick grab shot with the Batis 85mm. Shot at f2.8, which feels like a sweet spot aperture to me for this kind of portrait.

A7II, Batis 85mm (available light only)

Yup Barry, asbestos removal would get very expensive. Great shot, thanks.
That structure sure looks like a mess.

Luckily, we didn't encounter any when we had our roof replaced.
But contractually one has to be ready in case one does.
What would have happened if we had encountered asbestos, for example around the chimney?
Well, all work would have been stopped by the roofers.
Then one would have to contract the asbestos removal with a specialist company.
Their workers protected in their "moon suits".
Once that work were finished, then the roofers could have continued theirs.

The Black-chinned Hummingbird's wingbeats are almost perfectly synchronized with the viewfinder's refresh rate so watching the bird hovering through the viewfinder is like watching the wingbeats in slow-mo.

Thank you Karl, you were lucky...yes it’s a complete mess as you say + It’s close to a community centre where children play which I am not very happy about!

Only too aware of the costly financial implications for its removal but nobody appears to be taking any responsibility for putting things right!!!...It was due to be demolished just over 5 years ago.

I had a close friend die from Mesothelioma due to asbestos negligence just over a year ago, so I’m a little touchy about the subject, so apologies everybody for putting up with my little rant, I will finish off with a few more images going from right to left around the building but selenium toned this time. DRAB 1-6 (A7RII+ 21mm Loxia)...Many thanks for looking...Cheers Barry
