After last year's rain interrupted our 5 year drought, looks like we're back to no rain again...lakes are beginning to lower.

Took a walk this afternoon with the Sony a6000 and my father's Micro Nikkor 55mm f3.5, which he purchased it in 1967. Seems to be a fine lens. Most taken at f5.6

The University of Coimbra in Portugal is old - started in the 1200s, moved to Coimbra in the 1500s.
Graduating students gather in the old courtyard - foreground are medical graduates, based on their yellow ribbons.

I spent a lot of time there as a kid... Freeport too.
We went there quite a few times with the kids when we lived in League City in the early 90's.

However this one was during a business trip when I attended a big symposium which was held at the San Juan hotel.
Very good to go out after the speeches and clear your head a little.

Ahhh... I haven’t been out there in years. I know it’s quite a bit different after Hurricane Rita about 10 years ago. I usually stay in and around the Houston area when in Texas as that’s where I’m originally from.

Bringing Mid-Town

This was taken with the RX1R II from right outside ICP on Bowery. Playing with 42mp, I cropped in to bring the northern reaches of the frame with the Empire State at dusk.
