It's been a long summer for me. I went back to Tokyo to visit my parents during my summer vacation. Unfortunately Japan had been and still is battered by typhoon in Osaka and a strong earthquake in Hokkaido (with strong aftershocks still ongoing). The average temperature in Tokyo was around 40 degrees C everyday. So I did not get to do anything other than staying home with my mother.

So glad to be back in cool Seattle, Washington, although it took a good ten days to recover from jet lag.

Here is a photo of the grey sky right after the rain.
