The New Successor to Capa, Duncan, Page, Natchwey.

I've been strongly shaped in my photography by Capa, Duncan, Page, Burrows and Natchwey. In the photojournalism of war we confront perhaps the strongest images of humankind both good and bad.

I'm inordinately impressed with the work of Ashley Gilbertson. He has set a new standard for the photography of war with his work in Iraqi.

Here are some of his images but more important interviews with him about his work and how combat changed him and his work.
