    Nothing.
If there's nothing, then I won't need to buy it, and if I don't buy it I'll have more money to spend on going to nice places and taking pictures with my existing stuff . . . . which works!

    - Contax mount and Schneider Digitar mount for the arTec
    - a small, light device to tether in the field (could be with C1 3.7 or a modified, thinned out version of C1 V5)
    - quick release clamps with tubular levels (arca swiss compatible)

    1) An additional promotion for the HC35-90 when you upgrade your old back the the H4D60. This would most certainly be welcomed over here.

    2) 30minutes exposure for Hasselblad backs without the necessity to make an additional shot for noise reduction. I know this is a problem for the Dalsa but certainly possible for the Kodaks. When this happens I will have a hard time deciding between the 50 or the 60.

    3) Nikon AF-S 85/1.4 and while we are at it they might also include the AF-S 35/1.4 and the rumored AF-S50/1.2.

    4) Oh, why not. Throw in the AF-S 200/4.0Macro.

Other than that I am not wishing for anything. I cannot think of much other things that would get my interest.

A real rangefinder inspired m4/3 camera. Think M9 style with an EVF instead of viewfinder.
A high quality very fast zoom for m4/3
A very fast portrait lens for m4/3

    Ditto for Sony NEX

Leica does an about-face and revives the R series... then offers a smokin' hot upgrade path to the S2 which now has adapters allowing the use of R, Hassy, Zeiss and Rollei lenses While they're at it they can adjust their pricing to reflect the devaluation of the Euro relative to the $US.

Re: 60 days out for Photokina. What's on your wishlist

-A blatant lack of $%^& super-zoom glass & small sensor bodies (I know, I know..)
    -CV announces 180 & 125 APO SLII's to go with 90CV SLII
-Leica wakes up and offers selection of R glass in EoS and F mount (one can dream)
-'Holy $%^&' bolt your tripod to concrete 30+MP 1DS_/D_X so prices on existing 1Ds3/D3x take one in teeth as hordes rush to upgrade.

Actually since this is in MF section, ignore preceding:

    -More price drops on MFDBs
-New Hassy/Phase gateway-drug/adjunct 'tweaner' SLResque MF body a la the S2 that takes existing glass. Say 20MP +/-. Hell make it CMOS- just drop the AA filter.
    -Mamiya digitizes the 7II

I'd like to see the Lumix G 14/2.5 lens finally become available or the m.Zuiko 12mm lens from Olympus - we need a good wide angle prime for m4/3.

A 30 megapixel R with no AA filter, a decent battery, focus confirmation, files that are printable (large) at 800 iso, live view (for landscape shots on tripod) and a price under 9K. If I'm going to fantasize... it might as well be a pipe dream!

Of course, this would kill the S2, and that would suit many R users (who were sacrificed at the altar of camera jewelry collectors) just fine.

In MF with crop sensors i would like to see them eliminate the crop in the viewfinder. Use some type of viewing magnification system so when you put a cropped back on a body it sees the whole sensor size and nothing else. It would eliminate the the crop sensor stay within the lines issue

A Leica X2 with a Tri-Elmar (I am thinking 16-24-35 would be nice). How cool would that be?

    As a wedding shooter..

580ex mk3 flashgun with decent hotshoe, more power and most importantly radio controlled wireless flash to supplant the 3rd party add ons.

24-70L f2.8 IS. As good as the Nikon and with IS.

An Elinchrom Quadra clone with significantly faster recycle and battery life and TTL added as an extra. The owner of Alien Bees hinted to me today that it's in the works.

But then who are we kidding? I really can't afford anything for a good long while unless business picks up and significantly this year . I'd still work out a way to buy the first two, who needs two kidneys anyway?

That sounds strangely like some of the rumored specs for the 1Ds4 !

Nikon 700 body style with a full-frame D3s sensor that makes 18 to 22 MP. Even if it only works to 1250 ISO I could live with that.

D700 size with 18-20 MP and low light to 2500.

    Nikon 135mm f/2 with VR

    Nikon 180mm f/2.8 with VR

The lens first would be fine with me.

A US/EU distribution announcement for the Pentax 645D. Although that would make my next camera choice THAT much harder.

Definitely have to agree on the D700x/Nikon Prosumer refresh. But that AGAIN would make my decision even tougher. Oh, poor me, too many nice cameras to choose from! haha! A price drop on the D3x would do, as well.

I'd settle for any of the above. But I'll hope for all. I like to be confused!

Looking for the 28/1.4 Lux and 75/1.4 Lux in Leica M. That would nicely finish off the M product line.

OK, this is not realistic by far, but let's say a Pentax full frame EVIL camera which let's me use my limited lenses (with an adapter) with AF.

Re: 60 days out for Photokina. What's on your wishlist

    Wishes ? Hey that's easy.

Realistic wishes is a totally different matter

I have some apparently completely unrealistic wishes with regards to 'presentation'.

    (1) A breakthrough with a completely new print technology that would make huge prints affordable
I'm surprised that we don't see more competition and development on print technology.
Everything seems concentrated about cameras where we see a lot of competition, fast development and prices coming down as this new digital technology matures.
Not so with print, as far as I have noticed. I would love to be proven wrong about that.

    (2) Or, as an obvious alternative to countless, expensive large prints, an Ultra High Resolution Flat Panel Monitor, not for movies (with all kinds of update speed complications), but just for enjoying and presenting still pictures, photos. (Despite how slow the update might be).
How about something like 6000 x 4000 pixels as max resolution, just for a start ? Why not ?
I'm not an engineer. Can anyone explain to me why it can't be done, why we don't see this ?
With the millions of digital photos taken every day it seems like an obvious solution with a huge demand and thus a huge potential.

Re: 60 days out for Photokina. What's on your wishlist

I also do have an absolutely realistic wish.

I hope that it will be confirmed that this Nikon rumor about the coming Nikon mirrorless is true.
Because it seems like it has a viewfinder (heck, it seems like it even has a mirror ... )
I don't know if I will buy the camera at all, I just hope that Canon and Nikons takes on mirrorless will have viewfinders, because I think it is so scary that it seems to become an increasing trend that a viewfinder is not neccessary.
In my opinion a viewfinder is what separates a real camera from a snapper gadget. A mandatory feature. I admit I have kind of a viewfinder obsession
After all it's what my sight 'touches' and 'uses' when trying to get an image just like I want it.
    As accurate as possible.
Exposure is of course important, as is focus.
Still, composition is the single most important element of a final image. Of a well seen image. I think.

    Good morning all

How about the full frame sensor from the 5d Mk II in the 7d body with a megapixel count in the mid teens.

    From Steen
"In my opinion a viewfinder is what separates a real camera from a snapper gadget. A mandatory feature. I admit I have kind of a viewfinder obsession"

I agree completely, and the viewfinder should be 100%, bright, and have a screen capable of accurate manual focus.

Re: 60 days out for Photokina. What's on your wishlist

Time to go out there and take more, better photos, time to edit each of them to the best of my abilities and time to... oh wait, that's another department, right? Somewhat higher up?

Ok then; a full frame Nikon in a D90 sized body, waterproof and made from light, indestructable materials and with some nice, compact primes to match. Hmmmm.... that sounds like an FF K7. Pentax? How about it?

Now that I have the NEX5 I'm looking forward to the NEX7 announcement and the announcement of E-Mount lens roadmap. A high quality Zeiss 16-80 with a 2.8 constant aperture would be nice to replace the kit lens with as would a reasonably fast normal and portrait/macro lens.

D700 with D3x sensor; that's all I need. I would sell one of the present D700 bodies and would have the perfect duo for all my present work.
