Towards "diffraction free" lenses

That is an interesting read.
Two limits that needs to be blasted through are:
a) diffraction limit for small pixel resolution
b) sensor quantum noise for low light performance

both are interesting challenges.

I thought that's what that new "Nano Crystal Coating" did... Nikon invented it long time ago and didn't tell anyone ;)

I had a classical chemistry background before I spent some years on the "nano" stuff. Even there (among that circle) the nano "crap" was not very well received. ;)
