In Chicago that leaves Central Camera as the last man standing. There were a lot of nice folks at my Calumets, with many years there. Too bad for them.

Sad. Got my first Calumet catalog in the mid 70's and have shopped with them ever since. Difficult business model I suppose, the store nearest me was recently overhauled to look like an Apple store- they spent a fortune. Each time I was in there there'd only be a few other shoppers and it didn't appear that much business was being conducted.

Personally, I'm sorry to see them go, wishing all the former employees the best and thanks for all the service through the years.
