Why "Photoshop" has become a dirty word.

Happened in Iraq a couple years ago with a journalist. Got fired for altering a image for the news. Damn should have been fired too. Not the place to be altering reality is in journalism. Seriously folks don't EVER do this when shooting journalism. Frankly you should not even crop , let the editor tackle that issue.

Deceased, but remembered fondly here...
The Lens blog at the Times has a good follow up on their problem. It turns out not just one but a number of the photos submitted for the article had been altered.
