Re: make a movie while driving

I always thought a GoPro would be fun to play with.....Final Cut not so fun....so haven't done anything. I could never really get my arms around using iMovie....

Well done....I particularly like the parking garage part. Chasing Cam I assume is referring to an airport pickup or going to meet her.

actually the new Final Cut is growing on me...part of the reason for doing little movies like this is to get my head round using it.

Indeed I was chasing Cam.....I started the day in Gent, Belgium, while Cam was somewhere over the Atlantic on an Air France flight into Paris. I drove to Paris, picked up Cam, turned round, drove to Calais, got a ferry to England then drove for 3 hours to meet up with Jono....a busy day!!!

    cheers

The Go Pro does look like enormous fun. It seems remarkable for the price.

And guess I'm a little disappointed. I watched the entire thing imagining that I would get a glimpse of CAM at the airport. Bummer.

sadly no lady likes being filmed as they get off a 11 hour overnight flight from LA...

it would be more than my life's worth to capture that in HD....I would have more chance of surviving unscathed sideswiping a french truck at 120km/h

    I'm in. A silly little drive-to-work video in my 1982 911SC:

Commute in my 911 SC Targa - YouTube

    Recorded with a Leica DLUX-4.

I love using GoPro on my helmet during long rides. It makes me realize how well or bad I did driving. LOL Love the vid Kevin!

    thanks mackeybadan

havent really done much with the gopro recently .. despite getting a second one last summer.

however , i did hand them to a couple of teenage relatives as they played around in the pool... no instructions

several hour of editing later this was the result

    Cool stuff!

Really should spend a little time to learn how to use the video features on the E-M1 and then edit the videos. Never seems to be time.

    thanks godfrey

video can be fun, but it is a very different process than stills photography... much more time intensive... definitely not instant gratification!!!
