Beautiful shot, but.... what is it with the colour of the first building to the left?

Nice IR shot. It appears from the short exposure time that you are shooting with a converted d70. How long have you been shooting ir? Other than the first group in my website, all my postings are ir.

    Jorgen -
That's an infrared photo. Sometimes a few things come out unusual colors (compared with the rest of the things in the photo) in infrared, and the one umbrella and the paint on the one house happened to come out unusual this time. I could have converted the whole thing to monochrome, but I thought the blue umbrella added something.

    Howard -
Yes, that was a converted D70. I've been shooting IR for a few years now (not sure how many - maybe 4?). I started with a regular D70 with an external filter and long (tripod-long) exposures. Then when I upgraded to a D200, I got the D70 converted to full-time IR (with short exposures). The D70's card slot failed last year, so I got a D300 for my regular camera and converted the D200 to IR. Converted cameras are so much more convenient than using external filters and tripods all the time!

Thanks for your comments, all. This is a shot that I was going to throw out at first, but after seeing it on & off for awhile it eventually really grew on me.
