Sorry I just saw this. No, never a problem with a lens shade. But just so you know if you ever have my lens cap problem, pressing the lens release solved my problem. Best, David

Hello, I saw your post on a stuck cap and decided to weigh in on a similar problem I'm having. The lens shade on my 80mm HC lens gets stuck and won't come off unless I pry it with a butter knife. This has caused some scratches on the shade and probably on the lens itself but sometimes it has to come off for storage purposes. Have you had this problem as well and is there a better way to take the shade off?
