    Hi Mike,

    I'm sorry for the late reply. Just noticed your message. I wouldn't worry about this wobble, mine had it too. It is very annoying especially for someone who expects fine mechanical action from equipment that has the Zeiss logo, but I don't think it affects the image quality.

    Hi Edward,
    Thank you for your excellent postings on Zeiss lenses. I have the 24-70 ZA and my zoom barrel has quite a bit of play in it (perhaps 1-2mm). Do you think this is normal?
    My old Nikon 28-70 did not have any noticeable play in it.
