Well apparently there are two issues;
- rattling: while shaking Pana(Leica) lenses something 'loose' inside produces this sound,
- chattering: while operating Pana(Leica) lenses the aperture blades produce this sound.
Neither of these two really bothers me, but some members here were annoyed especially by the chattering.
Your suggested fix did mitigate to some extent that issue for my 45 Macro-Elmarit while I still had it.
My Nocticron however is only rattling and doesn't seem prone to chattering so far.
