Jonas - I don't see the noise in the print, I'm glad to tell.
About the gear - I never carry a lot of gear, I like to keep it simple.
I once joined a competition; take the best series of 10 pictures at the zoo in 5 hours.
Boy, there were a lot of heavy gear that day. I brought only a camerabody and a 50 mm'er - that was all. I won't tell you who wan the second-price;-))
There has been questions about the b/w workflow.
It's really simpe - Jpeg - dynamik b/w in camera - all settings at zero.
Levels, shadow/highlight, contrast, a little dodge and burn in a few (and a little to much in the snow..;-)) resizing and sharpen.
Indoors pictures ISO 400 - outdoors ISO 100.
A-mode f:1,7 - 2,5 and handheld.
Do ask, if there's questions - I'll try to answer. Sorry for the writing - I'm not used to write in english.
