Hi Carl,The snowpack is slowly melting and the area waterfalls are just starting to break loose. This is Buttermilk Falls which was frozen solid all winter but it will soon be a raging torrent. E-P2+Carl Zeiss 2/45 Planar G.
Thank you Leica 77. I can't seem to keep this lens off my camera In addition to being razor sharp the 45 2 exhibits no CA in shots where I might expect it could pop up and also no significant edge/corner distortion. Just an outstanding lens. The 35 and 90 are also excellent.Hi Carl,
Your images produced by the Carl Zeiss Planar 45mm F2 G lens are outstanding in this thread and elsewhere. We would love to see more images both in B&W and color! All the best, Leica 77.
I've been really impressed by the results you've gotten out of this lens as well. If I had a budget it would definitely be near the top of my list.Thank you Leica 77. Good for you, Devon. You are keeping your tools to a minimum and your artistic ability to the maximum. I really enjoyed this panorama.J...
Increasingly I am finding that the 17mm f/2.8 and FD 50mm f/1.4 take care of nearly all my photographic needs day to day.
Just one more quick panorama from this last week to share.

45 shots total. Nine wide and five deep.
If you'd like take a look at the full size (actually half size due to flickr size restrictions) version,

Its magic resides in the fact that you've "wrapped" it nicely with the wall each side, well done.Just one more quick panorama from this last week to share.

Thank you Devon. There are a lot of these old Contax lenses around so keep your eye open for a bargain.I've been really impressed by the results you've gotten out of this lens as well. If I had a budget it would definitely be near the top of my list.

I haven't got there yet. I still prefer to shoot with longer FL lenses but the 17mm has certainly become one of my fav. lenses. I hardly miss a shot with it....

I appreciate your taking the time to look at them. The "reflections of youth" shot was an obvious coincidence - one of the lucky grabs.Michael, those were interesting to look through. I particularly like your "reflections of youth" shot.
Your work is not only good; it's inspiring. You'll never post too much.Hopefully I don't post too much here.
Nice one, Michael. I like the B&W conversion.I appreciate your taking the time to look at them. The "reflections of youth" shot was an obvious coincidence - one of the lucky grabs.
This one was easier:
Well Kept - Not Kept
