Absolutely! How does the saying go again: "Give me a place to stand, and a tripod stable enough, and I can photograph the world!" errr, or something like that...Cool looking tripod.
..."My sharpest lens is a sturdy tripod."...
Why thank you Leica, kind as usual! HNY 2U2! 2011, and I never though I'd see 2000.Hi Tesselator,
It's a terrific tripod. Happy New Year to You!
Hi Tesselator,Thanks! HNY 2U2!
Here's some more images. This time with my new Nikkor AF 85mm F1.4D - and this is my first experience with a lens that renders colors like this! Holy cow! At first I though someone was messing about with the saturation on my monitors or something. It's a very lively and vivid lens! It's kinda like getting a new box of crayons. It's nice getting results like this without having to process for it.
The amazing thing to me is that it's doing this in low light. Overcast at around 1pm to 4pm and this time of year at Japan's latitude on the planet the Sun always looks like it's about 2 to 2.5 hours away from total sunset - it never climbs very high in the sky and the days are short. Noon looks about the same as 4pm and 9:30 am.

I missed the focus a little bit on this one - you can see that the buds don't look as perfectly pin-sharp as I saw in the finder. I still like it tho!

I knew you would say that , but this one is for all the people who don't look at the bokehthread regulary. :lecture:A portrait from around Christmas in a French restaurant.
(Not as sharp as I wished but I like the movement and background)

Now, that could make a very nice bokehgraph portrait :deadhorse:
