That sounds reasonable, the 105 was also not the fastest on my D2X some years ago.>How does the AF speed and accuracy work with Nikkor glass and the FT1?
the 105 Macro is slow (not sure how it is on larger bodies). The 70-200 is ok.
I hope so. I have just mounted a newly-acquired AF-S 55-200mm VR on the FT-1. I gulped when I noticed that Vibration reduction does not appear in the shooting menu. (It doesn't appear when I mount my Nikon1 10mm either, but that lens doesn't have VR.)As always you have to learn how to handle such narrow angle of view. But VR works.
