Well Jack, I have to say you're forgiven. The 150 D is indeed a gem. I tested it today and as you say, very sharp at f2.8, perfect at f4 and diffraction limited by f11.I really wish you'd SHUT UP, Jack! I've been hearing about that darn 150 2.8 from you for some time now, and tonight I finally broke down and ordered one.
Can I send you the bill? (Like I don't know the answer to that!)
I'll report on it when it arrives and if its really really really good maybe I'll forgive you.

I then put the P45+ on ISO 400 and left the lens at f4 and just wandered around and shot hand-held. Every one was pin sharp. I'll post some serious stuff next week.
Enjoy Oregon!

John,If seeking bokeh and narrow DOF, then the Mamiya 200mm F2.8 APO is worth looking at. It too is quite sharp wide open and on tight head shots the DOF will be very thin.
I had all three lenses, and sold all three lenses, not for any reason other than not using them enough. The 150mm was the best of the bunch for me. I replaced it with the 150mm D series, which is heaps better.Interesting thread...
So out of the AF (not D) 150, 105-210, and 210 which would you say was the sharpest best image producing lens.
Just curious as to your opinions, I have all three.
Thanks!
I think I'd go with the 150, though my 3.5 was not as sharp as the 2.8D.Interesting thread...
